The Business Development Manager develops relationships with state government agencies responsible for EBT and other Federal and state benefit programs. These relationships enable the BDM to promote Inmar, influence future RFP’s and acquire strategic knowledge of the State, State agency, and competitors/subcontractors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Increase presence and familiarity of Inmar within state governments
Manage and grow Inmar’s government business
Build relationships with state governments to understand how Inmar solutions can positively impact daily activities
Inform state governments of Inmar Intelligence as a company and related solutions
Manage overall government client relationship
Help develop a strategy for RFP responses based on client knowledge
Understand pain points of state governments
Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services
Respond to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, as needed
Qualifications
Min 3 years experience with government business development/sales, preferably with card services
General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications, and banking practices
Knowledge of mobile payment platforms a plus
Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Communicates ideas both verbally, in written form, and via presentation in a clear, concise, and professional manner appropriate to the audience
Requires solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements
Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients, and industry leaders
