AVP, Digital Experience Lead at Chubb in Jersey City, New Jersey

Job Description:

Chubb, leading property & casualty insurance company, is currently seeking a Digital Experience Lead to join the Digital Marketing Technology team to strategize, manage and support Chubb’s online digital presence.   The individual must have at least 10+ years of proven full-stack expertise with Adobe Experience Manager and Forms.   He/She must also have implementation experience with products within the Adobe Experience Platform.

The Digital Experience lead must be passionate about establishing an integrated ecosystem in support of Chubb’s Marketing, Sales and Service needs.  The individual must be able to lead interactions with business teams, technology peers and provide servant leadership to analysts, developers and testers for Chubb.com and other Chubb brands. He/she will be responsible managing end-to-end delivery for large to small projects, including business-as-usual service requests. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the content management platform development team for Chubb.com to deliver innovative, scalable and measurable web solutions that work flawlessly across device types.


  • Develop front end templates in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and reusable components for redesign and campaign efforts.

  • Design efficient security models, workflows and templates.

  • Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and use.  Embed technical best practices such that the team delivers high quality with low defects.

  • Slice, mark-up, and script interfaces and content on content managed, responsive websites / systems that work flawlessly on desktop, tablet, phone, and other devices.

  • Work with Adobe Experience Manager (CQ5 and AEM6) and extensive experience with headless CMS including integration with Angular and React.

  • Create events and listeners on content and interaction to produce meaningful reporting (Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Suite, and other conversion tags).

  • Leveraging APIs / Web Services and content of all types (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.).

  • Delivering product and apps that are based on pre-existing wireframes, designs, or other client requirements.

  • Build and maintain vendor relationship to ensure highest levels of service for Chubb.

  • Partner with the business, design agencies and architects to define the approach for small to large projects.  

  • Coach software developers, testers and business analysts on best practices, platform specific tactics and establish an ongoing learning environment.

  • Agile experience and participation in daily scrum meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 10+ years managing a technical Website Content Management team.


  • AEM front end development experience at least 8-10 years, version 6.1 or higher. Work with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.


  • Ability to lead interactions with the business to understand use cases and requirements.

  • Presentation skills, ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms with transparency.

  • Listening actively, analytical capability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Team building with the ability to set the big picture but break it down into actionable goals to motivate team members.

Technical must haves




    • Full-stack AEM experience, includes UI and server-side experience. Implementation of Responsive Design and Graceful Degradation principles.

    • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, LESS, JavaScript across multiple libraries: jQuery, Angular.js, Node.js, React.

    • Expertise in developing for AEM Touch, Asset Management (DAM) Implementation, Workflows and proficiency with Adobe Target, Analytics, Launch, data layers.

    • Experience with integrating to different internal servers, databases from AEM, using both front end (AJAX, cookies) and back end technologies (servlet, osgi service, Sling).

    • Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager and DevOps (including Git and Git commands).

    • Experience with Single Page Application design/development (ex. React.js, Angular, Knockout).

    • Experience in Java Content Repository (API) suite, jQuery and extending / customizing plugins, Sling web framework and Apache Felix OSGi framework is required

    • Sightly/HTL experience

    • Familiarity with Bootstrap 3, ADA / Accessibility and Accessibility Markup, build tools like Maven and Webpack

    • Basic knowledge of Azure is required, familiarity with GCP or AWS is nice to have



Technical experience – Nice to haves




    • Tag Manager experience; in particular, Google Tag Manager

    • HTML, CSS Preprocessors (LESS / SASS) and proven experience in establishing CSS class strategies
