The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will manage supply chain product flow to support customer requirements. Schedules procurement and manufacturing for a specified group of products. Manages raw material, semi-finished inventory and finished goods inventory to meet and exceed key supply chain metrics (OTIF, Inventory Dollars, Inventory Turns, and Non-Working Inventory).

      

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Work closely with business unit/division to understand customer requirements and forecasts

  • Schedule, procure, and execute to meet current and future customer/business requirements

  • Determine routine planning adjustments to assure schedule attainment

  • Identifies opportunities to improve the supply chain speed, efficiency, and inventory investment

  • Responsible for learning current supply chain tools, methods and implementation techniques

  • Communicate daily with Production, Commercial, Management, and Shipping & Receiving

  • Meet training and developmental goals 

  • Supports the department by providing backup to the other analyst 

  • Other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of Supply Chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration and/or Industrial Engineering from and accredited university

  • Minimum five (5) years of Supply Chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Strong systems background, including ERP

  • APICS Certification or willingness to obtain

  • Lean Six Sigma experience or willingness to obtain

  • Demonstrated coaching, interpersonal communication, and team leadership ability

  • History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals

  • Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification and resolution

  • Experience working directly with outsourced manufacturing locations

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Travel: May include up ton10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
