Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy to join our North American strategy team. The location of this role is flexible to any location in the U.S but will require access to a major airport. This role will be responsible for driving the development and execution of market, commercial and operational strategies for the Company’s U.S. business unit.  This person will lead all aspects of strategy development, merger and acquisition (M&A) activity and major capital investments.  This is a high-visibility role that will frequently interface with and serve as a strategic thought-leader for the C-Suite.  The Senior Manager, Strategy will also work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and other internal stakeholder groups and will report to the Senior Director of Strategy for North America.

• Formulate and drive strategic priorities for the Company’s Long Products, Flat-Rolled, and U.S. Tubular Products segments




• Perform in-depth research and analysis of North American energy, rail, infrastructure and other EVRAZ end-markets, leveraging data to generate critical market and business insights




• Evaluate market, customer, product and technology trends to support organic sales growth, research and development (R&D), and new product development efforts




• Support inorganic growth strategy through the identification, assessment and execution of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships




• Lead the development of business cases for new capital investment in North America




• Develop market demand and market share forecasts to inform quarterly business reviews, annual budgeting, and forecasting efforts




• Produce strategy reporting documents and other ad-hoc analyses for the Executive Leadership Team, Investment Committees, Evraz plc leadership, and the Board of Directors




• Lead or support other special projects as needed

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or Engineering; an MBA is strongly preferred




• 5+ years of experience in strategy, M&A, finance, or operations in the manufacturing, steel products, energy, or energy tubular sectors preferred




• 2-3 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly desired




• Self-motivation and a hunger to take on increasing levels of responsibility




• Critical thinking and problem solving skills with attention to detail




• Solid financial acumen and business analysis experience including financial modeling




• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting to and working closely with senior executives




• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members of diverse backgrounds and skillsets




• High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)




• Willing and able to travel internationally up to 25% of the time




• Location is flexible but will require access to a major airport, preference is Denver, Colorado

Compensation

• $110,200 - $160,000
