Position Description




Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is a medical destination providing many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. Located on 87 acres along Germantown Pike in East Norriton, PA, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery brings the exceptional experience of Einstein Healthcare Network to residents of central Montgomery County. In this role you will be responsible for:


  • The chief advanced practitioner, is a skilled member of the health care team who is qualified by academic and clinical education to provide patient care services under the supervision of staff physicians.

  • Oversees clinical and administrative responsibility of the general surgery PAs/NPs.

  • The chief will also be involved in planning and carrying out the training of new EMCM Surgery PAs/NPs

  • The chief reports to and is responsible to the supervising physician.

  • This position requires providing service to the following age population(s): adolescents to frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.



If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:

  • Graduate of approved school of Nursing.

  • MSN Degree is required.

  • Two years of experience in clinical setting required.

  • Surgery experience preferred.

  • Licensure as registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.

  • National Certification as Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

  • Able to seek and obtain credentialing by medical staff of AEMC.



Physical Demands:

  • Physical Requirements: include walking, standing, and talking to patients, assisting with lifting of patients on occasion.

  • Visual Requirements: 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses).

  • Hearing Requirements: Normal hearing.

  • Working Conditions: Office based, sits to document approximately 1-2 hrs/day, use keyboard and observe computer screen 1-2hours/day.
