The Cold Chain Leadership Development Program provides an opportunity for recent college graduates to gain business and leadership experience in a global organization. 

You will have the opportunity to work in multiple functions within the Emerson Cold Chain business. Functions can include Supply Chain and Operations, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance. This year, candidates will be selected to participate in this two-year rotational program between two Digital Solutions locations.  Each rotation will last 12 months with the first rotation being at our Kennesaw, GA location. Possible locations for the second rotation are Chanhassen, MN, Sidney, OH, Middlefield, CT, West Palm Beach, FL, Boise, ID. 

Throughout the program, participants will be matched with mentors who can offer professional guidance and support, as well as participate in training sessions that will allow for the further development of leadership skills. 

 AS A PART OF THE COLD CHAIN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT: 

  • Supply Chain 

    • Assists in developing and refining supply chain / logistics strategies to improve delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.  
    • Analyzes operations, commodity, supplier, and industry data to identify supply chain / logistics performance opportunities.  
    • Promotes best practices and provides training support across the organization.  

  • Finance 

    • Performs analysis of acquisition candidates, including valuations, pricing, and deal structure. 
    • Performs economic analysis of capital investments, including ROI and P&L impact to the company, and develops forecasts for long range financial plans.  

  • Operations 

    • Coordinates strategic and tactical projects including manufacturing, engineering, product engineering, production control, financial and sales data analysis.
    • Identifies projects that reduce manufacturing process cost through facility layout improvements and rationalization. 

  • Marketing 

    • Assists with development and management of marketing strategies, including market research and segmentation, brand management, product management, integrated campaign management and enhancing the digital customer experience.
    • Collaborates with sales organizations and works with multinational teams using data-driven analytics to deliver cutting-edge market development programs. 

  • Work assignments can vary depending on location and function during the program. Each candidate will be made aware of their specific role prior to program orientation. Projects and tasks assigned may include:

    • Lean optimization of our manufacturing facilities 
    • Identifying cost reduction opportunities within our supply chain
    • Working with the Product Development team on new or existing products 
    • Sales and marketing analyses to develop customer strategies
    • Sales and Operations Planning


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business (with Finance, Supply Chain or Accounting concentrations)
  • Cumulative GPA Requirement: 3.0
  • Proven leadership experience from clubs or extracurriculars
  • Desire to gain cross-functional experience 
  • Willingness to relocate
