Job Description:

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Power BI Developer at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas.  The Power BI Developer has a proven track record in Data Mapping, ETL, Power BI and Azure DW platform, along with an in depth understanding of the construction industry and its technology demands. Role will be responsible for working with the business to develop, implement and maintain the Business Intelligence platform.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and develop system requirements that align with business needs

  • Create Data Mapping & Data Dictionary Documents

  • Experience in creating data visualization and meeting end user requirements

  • Create functional testing of change/project through deployment

  • Resolve business problems as they relate to the software with a sense of urgency

  • Manage resolution of software defects, data integrity issues, and/or security updates

  • Champions’ data quality, integrity and reliability by designing data flow models and developing best practices

  • Performs requirements definition, development, testing, analysis and ad-hoc reporting

  • Assist with software evaluations of current and future products

  • Coach and train business analysts

 

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of Data Mapping and Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) design and development experience

  • Strong grasp of advanced SQL writing and query tuning/optimization

  • Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) development experience, preferably in Databricks

  • Azure Data Warehouse Experience

  • Power BI Development Experience, and excellent DAX knowledge

  • Dimension Modelling Experience

  • General ERP Knowledge (Prefer CMiC but not required)

  • Strong understanding of construction industry and business processes found within

  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet agreed upon deadlines

  • Effective communication with all levels of the organization

  • Collaborative team-work approach

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Results driven and time management skills
