PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES



Business Analysis



  • Work with project team and users to define solution requirements using current BI and reporting tools.

  • Develop and lead team through prototyping of solutions.

  • Interface directly with business representatives to gather and define reporting needs.

  • Participate with software selection teams evaluating and recommending BI solutions to solve business opportunities.

  • Learn and document organizational data and relationships


Implementation



  • Develop testing plans to assess readiness for implementation.

  • Coordinate testing efforts of IT, customers, and consulting resources.

  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs.

  • Make timely updates in project tracking system to keep team and management aware of project status and roadblocks.



BI Development and Support



  • Develop complex queries and reports.

  • Assist and support business power users with developing queries and reports.

  • Support and improve an existing data warehouse.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues.

  • Design, develop, test, and debug ETL processes.




















EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE




  • 4 year degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Certifications: data warehousing, Microsoft SQL not required, but valuable.

  • At least 3 years of experience participating with BI or data project teams to solve business problems.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering usable documentation required.

  • Experience working with Windows servers required.

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) required.

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) desired.

  • Experience working with Data Warehouse design and development desired.

  • Experience with Lean and or Agile desired.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES




  • Strong understanding of database modeling, structures, design, and reporting techniques required.

  • Demonstrated skills with SQL query language required.

  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft SSIS including package development required.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) desired.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server query performance tuning desired.

  • Ability to work with people at all levels in the organization, in addition to consultants and vendors.

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direct guidance.

  • Persistence in resolving issues without becoming upset or overly frustrated.

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify resolutions

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

  • Ability to balance multiple shifting priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to reason - work from end results backwards to determine the best course of action for problem solving.

  • Ability to exhibit positive "Can Do" attitude.

  • Ability to be available outside of normal business hours to resolve business issues and for on-call rotation

  • Trustworthiness with strictly confidential information.

  • Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and pre requisite program requirements

  • Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management
