Job Description:

The Johns Manville team in Waterville, Ohio is seeking a Business Information Specialist to join our team. The purpose of the Business Information and Pricing Specialist's role is to create high quality data to support the SAP order entry, billing, and subsequent business reporting functions. The position's areas of responsibility extend to pricing, customer and material master records. The role exercises oversight of pricing approval processes, implements pricing in SAP, and advises proper usage of pricing data throughout the business unit. Additionally, this role is responsible for creating and updating customer master and material master records, and other associated records used in the overall Quote to Cash SAP business process. Under general direction, this role is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as it relates to master data, communicate to impacted users, ensure user adoption and identify corrective actions if necessary. Conducts testing and system validation to troubleshoot issues related to master data and recommends methods to strengthen data integrity, quality and availability across the enterprise.



Your Day to Day:



  • Manage pricing data in SAP such as pricing updates, list price, material master and customer master

  • Update and manage all pricing both contractual and list pricing

  • Verify that price approval processes are followed

  • Create and maintain customer and material master data in SAP and ensure it adheres to Data Governance Standards and associated business processes.

  • Measure end-to-end process time for master data updates and drive adherence to set service levels

  • Approve or deny change requests based on approval policy guidelines

  • Provide data extracts and analysis reporting to business users as required

  • Develop and analyze data quality reports and prescribe corrective actions as required

  • Communicate with Data Stakeholders on importance of high-quality master data



What You Bring to the Team:



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of SAP experience (Master Data preferred)

  • Expert accuracy and attention to detail

  • Solid knowledge of SAP product structure, customer structure and data governance standards

  • Strong analytical, multitasking, organizational and decision-making skills

  • Solid problem resolution and negotiation skills

  • Proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Minimal travel required 10%
