Job Title: Stock Clerk

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) chartered to develop advanced technology in support of national security. The Laboratory works with government and industry to transition new concepts, technology and prototypes into future system development and deployment.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include receiving and issuing materials in multiple stockrooms to include cutting materials to required size. Receives stockroom materials to include the data entry of goods receipts into SAP, verification of packing slips, and inspection of materials for quality and quantity. Restocks shelves and performs housekeeping as needed. Fills orders received electronically and over the counter. Performs data entry of stock withdrawal slips and keeps records of all withdrawals. Performs light to moderate lifting and moving of materials up to a maximum of 50 lbs. Operates, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, such as table saws, band saws, grinders, power shears and overhead crane. Provides customer service to Laboratory personnel as needed. Successful candidate will be detail orientated and possess good communication and customer service skills. Will be required to fill in for other stock clerks as needed. Candidate will be required to wear work clothes as provided by the Department.



Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Must be physically able to lift heavy items


• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and experience using pallet jacks, power jacks, electric carts, and other material handling equipment required


• Experience with SAP ECC desirable


• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required


• US citizenship required

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
