Job Description:


As a Field Installation Technician, you'll be tasked with installing security systems in residential customer settings.  You'll work closely with our outside sales team to ensure our customers receive the highest level of professional care from start to finish. Our goal is to give each customer a personalized experience tailored to their specific needs and you'll play an important part in that experience. 


The successful candidate will have an immediate and distinct impact on the experience of Vector customers and therefore a strong record of customer obsession, high judgment, and delivery of results are key requirements for the role. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a curious mind and a desire to learn new technology as the role will support a variety of smart security products.


This position will cover the Coastal Plan Region.


Core Job Duties:



  • Travel to customers sites to install or help troubleshoot technology products

  • Identify opportunities to enhance customers experience during the visit by going above and beyond the initial customer request

  • Advise customers on products that meet their needs

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, always portraying the company in a positive light

  • Share customer feedback and insights with fellow field technicians and other Vector teams

  • Flexibility with full-time schedule, including weekends/evenings

Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • Valid drivers license

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience installing wired and/or wireless security systems


  • Alarm.com experience (preferred)
