SUMMARY

This position reports to the Senior Director, Sales Strategy and Excellence. In this role you will be responsible for the successful integration of acquisitions into the Ansys sales ecosystem. You will be leading both immediate transitions and evolutionary shifts to integrate global and go-to-market sales coverage, selling strategies, account level team integrations and sales processes. You will be closely partnering with other stakeholders within Ansys, such as Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Business Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing, IT and R&D, to ensure the successful integration and alignment of related mission critical processes, policies, systems, and requirements for forecasting, quoting, order processing, revenue recognition, customer success - retention, acquisition & support, employee retention & expansion, sales readiness, and a host of other mission critical topics.

Go-to-Market integration includes leading cross-functional teams to assess sales coverage, developing and aligning strategies and implementation, across global sales regions and account segmentation to maximize ROI from direct, channel partners, remote sales, online sales and joint selling in partnership go-to-market models.

Processes and systems integration aspects include all related sales processes for forecasting, deal registration, deal timing and related aspects for financial governance. Included are short-term alignment across CRM systems and overall sales requirements and strategy for global CRM integration.

To be successful in this role, you will need to blend your creativity, strong situational sales experience, detailed operational knowledge and cross-functional leadership to define, align and implement scalable business outcomes while streamlining inter-business function coordination that occurs between Sales, and key stakeholder organizations with Ansys. This is a fast-paced role, that plays a very important and visible position in the company's success. You will be involved in the largest and most important growth programs related to acquisitions and partnerships. RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Cross-functional leadership of the overall structure required to ensure business objectives and sales goals for acquisitions and partnerships are achieved / exceeded

  • Develop and lead sales team integration strategies for acquisitions and go-to-market partnerships

  • Develop and implement strategies for maximizing effectiveness including direct, indirect, overlay sales models and joint selling in partnerships

  • Directly drive and align business forecasting and related business processes and governance

  • Assess, develop and drive requirements for systems integrations such as CRM

  • DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) for comprehensive sales integration plans and results

  • Global sales resource for acquisition related customer contracts, deal timing and pricing

  • Lead sales communications related to acquisitions and partnerships

  • Develop a deep understanding of Ansys financial and legal policies, and use that knowledge on a continual basis to align sales success with overall business governance

  • Act as the global reference and leading business resource for all acquisitions. Develop a keen understanding of what does and does not work within Ansys and with our customers. Cultivate a deep knowledge of cultural and geographic subtleties related to business, finance and legal topics that impact sales success. Convey that knowledge to the Ansys executive team and help them understand how, when and where to invest to improve success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and / or sales operations experience,

  • Preference is for at least 5 years experience in outside sales and / or sales management with additional experience in sales operations and / or marketing program management roles

  • Significant experience with global sales, sales operations, and / or marketing program management

  • Significant experience with complex sales agreements, partnerships and/or contracts

  • Strong working knowledge of software revenue recognition policies

  • Strong working knowledge of database/CRM systems

  • Willingness to travel, at least 25%
