Overview

Under limited supervision, the Test Engineer (TE) will perform a variety of routine to complex duties in support of the manufacturing and development of integrated circuits and circuit card assemblies. This will include micro electrics, CCAs, systems with power devices, analog multiplexers, transceivers, voltage regulators, data bus devices, "Multi-Chip-Modes" MCMs, etc. These activities include product sustaining, new test program generation and new product introductions. This position will be directly involved in the development of new products that support space missions developed for harsh environments on Earth, other planets, and solar system. This position is located in Plainview, NY.


Responsibilities


  • Generate, compile, verify and document test programs; generate and update necessary device, hardware, software and procedural documentation.

  • Debug and characterize device and hardware operation, and support standardized test methodologies with a strong circuit analysis background

  • Execute technical experiments and summarize results.

  • Execute project objectives, metrics and milestones, monitor development status, report or progress and take corrective action as appropriate.

  • Develop test programs using engineering principles for a wide range of products which will include mixed-signal and digital devices.


Qualifications

Minimum:
*Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
*Six (6)+ months experience and/or classes with ANSI C, C++ or (LabView, MATLAB, HTBasic, CVI, or Test Stand).
*Six (6)+ months of experience and/or classes with test equipment (Source Meter, Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, etc).
*This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

*Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred:
*Active security clearance.
*Familiarity or Experience with test engineering experience including product support, test STE design reviews and Bid & Proposal estimating.
*Familiarity or Experience with Military and Space reliability / Quality product experience.
*Familiarity or Experience in testing to MIL-STD-38534, MIL-STD-883 requirements.
*Familiarity or Experience with thermal chambers, vacuum chambers, and/or vibration testing experience.
*Familiarity or Experience with CI continuing improvement, LEAN, or AGILE.
*Familiarity or Experience with Data analysis skills using statistical tools including Excel or other tools such as Minitab, JMP.
*Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office tools.
