With a strong foundation in RF integration, pSemi's product portfolio now spans power management, connected sensors, optical transceivers, antenna tuning and RF frontends. These intelligent and efficient semiconductors enable advanced modules for smartphones, base stations, personal computers, electric vehicles, data centers, IoT devices and healthcare. From headquarters in San Diego and offices around the world, pSemi's team explores new ways to make electronics for the connected world smaller, thinner, faster and better.

Job Summary

This hands-on position will be responsible for all product engineering activities relating to power semiconductors. The successful candidate will be responsible for product reliability and support our engineering team during the entire product life cycle from product definition through product release to end-of-life interfacing primarily with offshore-Fabs and OSATs, independent test houses, and internal engineering teams.

This position will be based out of our office in Burlington, MA, and will be part of a cross-functional product development team working closely with design, marketing, quality, and procurement in the UK and USA.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Working with Design and Test Engineering to drive development robust test plans and coverage at wafer-probe and final test. Address testability and bench test converge gaps in ATE production test by working closely with Test engineering on ATE and historical product

  • Align with Test and Design engineering on DFT plan.

  • Work closely with Reliability, Design, Packaging, and Test Engineering to provide input on qual plans, Qual/ESD ATE test coverage, and ESD/LU plans. Coordinate and drive all activates with internal design, ops teams and external vendors/labs.

  • Identify and manage Rel sub-contractors, defining qualification requirements and organizing the tests such as HTOL, approving results and releasing to production etc.

  • Focal point for supporting and driving characterization, qualification requirements. Manage and coordinate Device, Package Level Qualification, and ESD/LU efforts and perform data shift analysis, including Failure Analysis coordination.

  • Perform ATE/Bench characterization, analyses data using SPC tools, and issue characterization report.

  • Drive ATE-bench correlation activities by working with Test and Design Engineering.

  • Use statistical analysis tools to analysis and monitor production yields (e.g. Pareto, boxplots, Control charts, Cpk. etc.).

  • Analyze characterization report and set production guard bands. Assess yield impact and align with Marketing and Design on datasheet limits and production to ensure manufacturability.

  • Align with Test on offshore sites' bring-up and transfer to production. Drive and coordinate new supplier qualification activities.

  • Ownyields across all suppliers, test time and cost improvements during NPI through end of life. And drive continuous cost reduction efforts.

  • Forecast, track, report, and lead test time and yield improvements by working closely with Test, Design, Foundry engineering and offshore facilities to meet target goals milestones during NPI through volume ramp.

  • Monitor post-production offshore facilities yields. Drive root cause analysis, drive and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor supplier issues and disposition NPI and production material. Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, operations and suppliers across global sites.

  • Support Customer Return for Analysis (CRA/RMA) by validating failures on ATE or bench. Provide feedback to Design Engineering and stakeholders. Drive failure analysis activities by working with internal development teams, Marketing, Apps and FA labs. Drive root cause resolution and implement corrective actions. Interface with customers as needed.
