Summit Truck Bodies supplies high qualityservice truck bodies, lube truck bodies, lube equipment and other specialty bodies andaccessories for the fieldservice industry. Using leading edgedesign and manufacturing techniques each one of our bodies is built to customer specificationswith ourproven body mount system to ensure satisfaction of usability, rigidity, strength and safety. We are looking to add a Manufacturing Process Engineer to our team to assist the Policy and Procedure Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with production and engineering to evaluate process flowMonitor manufacturing processes including assembly, paint, and weldingCreate/author work instructions and update drawingsRefine and optimize manufacturing methods along with work cell layoutsOversee time motion studiesOversee work analysis and work designContinually work to recommend and implement positive change throughout the organization.Use experience as a positive force to mentor others in the organizationHelp educate and train staff.Work within ISO and 5S programsWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.Normal range of hearing and vision.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Associates in Industrial Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or currently enrolled in an Engineering programValid Driver's License with good standing MVRExperience with AutoCAD, ISO 9001Knowledge of Hydraulics and electronics.Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a focus on exceptional customer service.Candidates must be a motivated individual who can work independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.Experience with ERP systemsExperience with writing work instructionsExperience with tooling designExperience with automation in manufacturingExperience with design for manufacturabilityExperience with Capital Expenditures/ROI Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.Date posted: 04-23-2021
