Security Guard Position needed for a full-time, staff opportunity with American Ordnance located in Milan, TN.

The Work You'll Be Doing:

• Performs access control tasks at perimeter and internal access points that include vehicle searches and access badge inspections. Routine patrol of installation to inspect and assure production and storage areas are secure to include locking and unlocking of gates


• Completes all required documentation for assigned duties and tasks. Documents may include: search registers, igloo checksheets, repository checks, vehicle checksheets, and explosive building signature sheets.


• Performs surveillance and counter surveillance in order to maintain a secure workplace. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and threats.


• Performs investigations, escorts, stand-bys, vehicle traffic enforcement, to include detainment powers.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• 6 months security-related experience and/or training in the last 5 years preferred.


• Participate and pass an annual Company Physical, Physical Agility Test (1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes and 19 push-ups in 2:00 minutes per Army Regulation AR190-56) on an annual basis, and successfully meet Individual Reliability Program (IRP) requirements.


• Pass a bi-annual weapons qualification with M9 pistol and M4 rifle. Knowledgeable and uses other equipment and materials properly.


• Great attitude and team player.


• Successful completion of background screening process.
