Diesel Technician

Overview

We are seeking a mechanically inclined entry-level Semi-Trailer Repair Technician who will have the opportunity to expand his/her knowledge in all aspects of trailer repairs.

Responsibilities

Work with experienced mechanics to learn all aspects of trailer repairs in a for-hire shop
• Read work orders with guidance from shop foreman


• Plan work procedures under guidance of experienced mechanics


• Learn the basics of air systems, electrical systems, braking (ABS) systems, suspensions and body work.


• Learn all requirements for DOT trailer inspections & pre-delivery inspections

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner


• Valid driver's license and able to meet insurance requirements
