Main Objective:
To create, and/or support the creation, implementation and maintenance of user information documents that are provided electronically, or with packaged products, for products sold globally covering all Arthrex divisions. These documents are typically referred to as ‘Directions for Use’ (DFU), ‘Instructions for Use’ (IFU), Operating Manuals, and LAI or ‘SUB DFU’ documents (instructional literature). In addition, support for additional languages may be required to be added to the corporate website for customer access without being printed and packaged with the product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the creation and maintenance of end-user information documents.
a. Manage activities related to obtaining translations from GLM.
b. Review and finalize completed informational sections of formats.
c. Create and implement any required formatting modifications to fit text into final formatted DFU template or into other formats, as needed.
d. Prepare output documents for final print using Desktop Publishing software and techniques, or use of MS Office software, or similar text and graphics file manipulation to result in ‘print-ready’ documents that can be utilized by the print-house.
e. Coordinate with Arthrex internal Marketing Group resources when special graphics are required for illustrations.
f. Creation, coordination and monitoring of Engineering Change documents within PLM software tool to obtain release approvals.
2. Serve as a point of contact for establishing and maintaining end-user information documents.
3. Support the creation and maintenance of end user information documents.
a. Provide administrative support for files and translations which includes translation requests, uploading and downloading files, and confirmation that all language translation projects are complete.
b. Perform in-depth reviews of final format documents for standardization of presentation and graphics, as well as proofing for errors.
c. Coordinate with Arthrex website administrators to maintain latest release documents on the internet by sending upload requests and files for website upload.
