Primary Location: United States (US)- Illinois - East Moline
Function: Quality Engineering
Title: OFP Quality Engineer- 73107

This position will primarily be on1st shift and you may need to work an occasional 3rd shift depending on the business needs.

Your Responsibilities

As a OFP Quality Engineer at JD Harvester works East Moline, Il you will support daily combine production build activities within the manufacturing process and Leverage previous schooling/expertise to Lead in the containment and resolution of any identified manufacturing or quality issues. Specifically you will:


  • Investigates Harvester manufacturing and supplier quality issues analyzing assembly line, scrap and other quality information resolving or facilitating closed loop corrective action.
  • Executes the established quality control plans for work centers
  • Conducts audits of new and existing processes determine manufacturing capability and adherence to accepted quality practices. Drives prevention actions.
  • Facilitates and writes quality procedures, supports quality system audits, reviews results with audit team and participates in management reviews.
  • Provides training/and/or supervision to co-workers, wage employees, inspectors and auditors on quality procedures and tools to ensure consistent control and/or implementation of cost savings projects and/or mistake proofing ideas to improve our products to meet customer expectations.
  • Leads and facilitates new and changed product and utilizes quality toolsets -FMEA/CTQ/CP/SPC etc. to aide in identification and resolution
  • Support and facilitate new product implementations on the shop floor

What Skills You Need


  • 1 to 3 years' experience in OFP quality and/or shop floor manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, GD&T and a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge
  • Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Statistics
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventive maintenance and facilities

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 1 to 3 years' experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, quality
  • 1 to 3 years' demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience
  • 1 to 3 years' experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management
  • 1 to 3 years' computer programming experiences utilizing Python/R or other languages

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology, Math, Science, or Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience
