JP Morgan Wealth Management (~$400B in AUS) offers a wide variety of investment products and services through J.P. Morgan's advisors across Chase Wealth Management (CWM) and J.P. Morgan Securities as well as Digital Wealth Management and You Invest platforms. It spans across ~4,000 Advisors that work out of 3,500 branches and 21 offices. The business is highly dynamic given the rapid evolution of customer behavior, presenting challenges in how we evolve to meet customer needs as well as opportunities to serve our customers more efficiently and effectively.

The Select Advisor Channel within Chase Wealth Management is made up of the businesses most senior advisors who have large practices and the ability to grow as a result of deepening relationships within their current client base and adding new relationships through their own prospecting efforts and delivering an extraordinary client experience. This group of experienced and successful advisors have built their business in a branch environment and are now moving to an office based environment in order to be able to focus solely on delivering goals based advice and solutions to the clients in their existing practices as well as to add high net worth clients through their own efforts away from the branch. The Strategy and Support Manager will be reporting to the Select Advisor Channel Director. This role will support the channel and serve as a liaison to the Market Directors - Wealth (MDW), by driving the execution of key strategies and tactics that will ensure a world class client experience. The role requires collaboration with key partners across Wealth Management businesses and One Chase partners. This role requires flexibility, and the ability to work in an environment operating at a rapid pace. The Strategy & Support Manager supports the Select Advisor Channel in maintaining alignment with national wealth strategies by:


  • Exceptional commitment to client experience and lead the execution of delivering on our passion to meet and exceed our client expectations
  • Serves as empowered proxy of Select Channel Lead for business decisions and meetings
  • Acts a liaison to MDWs, driving the execution of day to day operations and key strategies in the channel
  • Manages and coordinates the channel hiring to ensure Advisors are client ready on day one: Onboarding, Practice Management, Office Space, Personal Branding. This includes partnering with leadership on selectively growing the channel through recruiting existing advisors at other firms
  • Works with our product team to add investments and solutions not yet available to our branch based advisors
  • Provides field feedback to practice management on key initiatives
  • Coordinates with Business Manager to drive scorecard results and drive progress on Market Plans across locations
  • Ensures consistency and alignment with broader wealth initiatives
  • Provides strategic support for the Select Advisor business; support and guidance for MDWs to customize strategies based on Regional nuance while aligning with broader Divisional / National strategies
  • Drives strategic initiatives across the channel and partners with RDWs / Regional Support teams to execute against a defined agenda
  • Oversight of the Support Associate
  • Collaborates with key partners across Wealth Management and key One Chase partners i.e. Consumer, Business Banking and Home Lending
  • Remains informed of audit and compliance procedures and areas of operational risk and ensures line of sight within the channel
  • Demonstrates success at driving special projects involving various business functions and with a high level of organizational impact
  • Makes significant, self-directed contribution to the role and to the channel, consistently going above job responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Independent leader with 10+ years proven experience coaching and managing people and projects in a wealth or investment focused environment
  • Strong data fluency skills to be able to tell a story leveraging data
  • FINRA Series 7, 9/10 (or equivalent) and 66 (or equivalent) required, in addition to meeting FINRA continuing education requirements
  • Excellent strategic vision; understands the direction of the business and industry; can articulate vision to motivate and influence others
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to take thoughts to execution


  • Creates a climate in which people want to do their best; motivates and empowers others by inviting input from each person and sharing ownership and visibility
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment; adaptive to change
  • Strong communication skills, highly professional, attention to detail, highly organized and excellent follow-through
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
