Job Duties

Under general supervision of Food Service Manager 2, receives & distributes stock & supplies for the purpose of supporting food service staff in facilitation of efficient meal planning, preparation & delivery for Columbus Developmental Center residents:  maintains receipts, records & withdrawals of & from the stockroom; receives, unloads & shelves supplies; inspects deliveries for damage &/or discrepancies between orders & shipment contents; rotates stock & coordinates weekly surplus disposals; ensures adequate & accurate recordkeeping (e.g. manages documentation in order to confirm proper stock levels, maintains inventory control weekly for auditing purposes); coordinates handling of freight, movement of equipment & minor repairs as needed; places orders for supplies & equipment; fills weekly food orders for residences; reviews invoices, purchase orders &/or packing slips.  Performs related duties as assigned (e.g. cleans & organizes freezer & dry storage areas):  delivers supplies to Center residences as needed; attends training events; maintains records of lot numbers & expiration dates; returns, packs, prices & labels supplies.

 

 

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions & percentages;

 

AND 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in inventory control.

 

In addition, employees working in a drug central warehouse or storeroom must pass security screen.

 

 

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
