Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer who will be supporting theSoftware Engineering and Acquisition Management Division (AIR 4.9.4). NAVAIR's mission is to provide full life-cycle support of naval aviation aircraft, weapons and systems operated. The Systems Engineer will be an integral part of the team.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Provide technical engineering expertise to independently evaluate/analyze systems, subsystems and components
• Review, evaluate, and provide recommendations for the development and execution of model-based acquisition


• Review, evaluate, and provide recommendations supporting the development and/or update of Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs) and program systems engineering (SE) processes and tools used to document and manage the overall technical approach for the program


• Review, evaluate and/or provide recommended technical/test requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria and measuring programs consistent with design criteria

Qualifications

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering field or equivalent AND 10+ years in engineering roles of increasing responsibility


• Must have working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines


• Demonstrated capability developing algorithms and or models & simulations


• Demonstrated capability to applying advanced research techniques in the investigation, analysis and solution of difficult physics and engineering problems


• Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools (DOORs, CAMEO)


• Demonstrated use and knowledge of Cameo/Magic Draw for MBSE


• Experience with development and execution of model-based engineering and acquisition


• Experience in the development and/or update of Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs) and program systems engineering (SE) processes


• Experience with balancing system performance, life-cycle cost, and program risks in addressing user requirements and needs


• Knowledge of P8 or P3 is highly desired


• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance


• Selected candidate must pass a background investigation


• Some travel may be required
