Job Description

Perform moderately complex and intricate assembly operations and processes with limited supervision. Assemble parts together in a bag to create a kit to meet customer specifications and enter data in the computer


  • Assemble and inspect multiple product types from start to finish. Read production drawings, routings, and other documents.

  • Perform assembly or kitting or other operations at multiple lines.

  • Test complete units and inspect parts for quality.

  • Prepare units for shipmentwith proper documentation.

  • Enter information into SAP or other computer programs

  • Pull parts from correct bins.

  • Keep the standards for inventory accuracy

  • Use hand tools, power, and air tools.

  • Maintainquality expectations and hitdaily production goals.

  • Communicate internally with contacts outside the work group to exchange work related information.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Rexnord policies, 5S procedures, and in line with Rexnord core values.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 year of experience in assembly; high school diploma or equivalent a plus.

  • Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.

  • Accurately read and comprehend material such as blueprints, work instructions, routings, measuring equipment, etc.

  • Able to write to record basic information and use a computer

  • Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic.

  • Skill and ability to place material in or remove them from machines. Start, stop, and observe the functions of machines or equipment. Adjust materials, fill bins or changeguides, settimers, clearjams, and adjustswitches to maintain performance of machines.

  • Knowledge of and ability to use air tools, power tools, and hand tools.

  • Manual dexterity.

  • Able to carry out tasks that require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order.
