OVERVIEW

CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist to join our Corporate - Health & Safety group in our Boston, MA; Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; or Duluth, GA office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TheSenior Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for working with the Corporate Health & Safety Director to foster a world class Health & Safety program, through the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective and innovative occupational health & safety program. With the primary objective of promoting a strong health & safety culture and minimizing and controlling risk, the Sr. H&S Specialist will work alongside and influence other company stakeholders (operations, people risk, legal, construction, design, logistics, etc.) to ensure safety is a key consideration in all of the company's activities, locations and decisions. Some occasional travel to CHA offices and projects will be required.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    Associate degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certification preferred

  • 10-hour OSHA Construction trainer preferred

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience managing/implementing health and safety programs

  • Previous experience as an occupational safety trainer preferred (OSHA 10-Hour, Fall Protection, Permit-Required Confined Space, HAZWOPER refresher)

  • Previous experience conducting health and safety audits preferred

  • Previous experience in development and implementation of behavior-based safety program

  • OSHA recordkeeping and incident investigation experience required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to publicly speak to large audiences of varied backgrounds

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
