POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews International Corporation seeks a Software Architect in Pittsburgh, PA, to be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing software applications using various SharePoint/Office 365 architecture. Specific responsibilities include: (i) developing functional and program specifications to design, test, implement, support and maintain a complex SharPoint environment; (ii) maintaining existing software sites, correcting errors, and creating new applications to improve performance; (iii) facilitating discussions and analyzing software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; (iv) conferring with the application and infrastructure managers and systems analysts to design applications and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces; (v) performing storage, retrieval, and manipulation of data for analysis of application capabilities and requirements; (vi) developing test plans and organizing system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation; (vii) determining system performance standards and maintaining documentation detailing adherence to best practices; (viii) researching, planning, and implementing software patches and fixes; (ix) complying with information technology standards and monitoring application updates; (x) assessing project requirements, creating project plans, and determining milestones; (xi) facilitating root cause analysis with analysts, technicians, and managers on problems, where appropriate, and identifying action items/recommendations to address issues; (xii) providing functional expertise and consultation to the users and technical staff; (xiii) analyzing business processes, including recognition of the potential for automation of the processes, assessment of the costs, and the potential benefits/detriments; and (xiv) developing and executing training for end users.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technology-related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate experience in an information technology position, including at least five (5) years of experience in a SharePoint architect role.

Five-years of experience must include: planning SharePoint/Office 365 Suite solutions; performing application governance and adherence to established software development lifecycle methodologies; enhancing form functionality with PowerApps; designing SharePoint templates, Farm Administration, and SQL management, SharePoint Online document library sync, OneDrive sync for Windows and Mac; customizing column using JSON; scripting SharePoint online and Azure Powershell; developing workflow solutions (including Nintex), Power BI reports with various data connections (including, SharePoint, Salesforce, SQL database and excel files); and coordinating intranet development with 3rd parties.
