Job Summary: Develop, write and publish technical documents to meet external customer contract requirements and schedules. These requirement deliverables are referred to as Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Documents are focused on the operation and maintenance of large-scale, infrastructure solutions and intelligent travel applications for major global city transportation industry customers. Documentation subject matter includes back office financial & accounting operations, reporting and reconciliation. Documentation content also includes transit devices operation and maintenance services plans, processes and procedures. CDRL technical writing includes understanding contract requirements, researching needs, conducting meetings with peers and customers to collect content, writing, editing, data collecting, and publishing required documents. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree, or equivalent, plus at least four years' experience writing technical manuals. Familiarity with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality requirements for technical writing. Proficient in WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO. Graphics art skills and experience is a significant plus. Experience with hardware O&M documentation is a significant plus. Experience with financial and accounting documentation is a plus. Must have strong computer skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
