Business Development/Customization Coordinator

Reports To:Business Development Manager

Location: Flowery Branch, GA

Summary:

Responsible for coordination of business development and sales support by customizing planning and product procurement. Also responsible for customizing manufacturing and technical support in addition to initiating efficiency improvement activities. This position may interface directly with customers, sales and all levels of manufacturing and will report to the Business Development Manager.

Main responsibilities, key tasks

• Coordinates Business development/Sales Support:


• Interfaces with sales and the customer to understand their needs, including customer visits if needed. Brings VOC into the factory.


• Coordinates and manages RFQ's, including pricing and lead time.
  
  
  
  • Updates cost list for customization services.
  
  
  
  


• Provides mid and long-range forecast for the business


• Develops a long-term growth strategy for the business, including new markets and customers
  
  
  
  • Defines Go-To-Market strategy
  
  
  
  


• Plans product procurement:


• Builds the relationship with factories for products and components procurement


• Builds the relationship with sales/customer support


• Participates in the organization and planning of the manufacturing orders


• Uses ERP/IT systems (DOH / XA / WASS)


• Supports Manufacturing and technical areas:


• Understands the basics of the product lines (SuPB, ACBB, ACThBB, DGBB,...)


• Understands customization operations and capabilities


• Coordinates the required customization personnel


• Maintains the cycle time information


• Initiates efficiency improvement activities

• 
  Skills and Abilities:
  


• Excellent project management skills with certification in at least one project management method (e.g. GPM2, PMI, Prince2, IPMA etc.) is preferred


• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing (DFM, Kanban/Pull Systems, 5S, Single piece flow, Line Balancing, SMED, TPM)


• Product knowledge of bearings; preferred but not required


• Effective communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English


• Strong analytical ability and initiative


• Manufacturing experience - comfortable with working in cross-functional teams and actively supporting members of the production team.


• Experience of agile project management and development


• Business Development Experience preferred, incl. developing/implementing a strategic growth plan and forecasting. Must be comfortable coordinating with field sales on customer needs


• Understand the basics of the product lines (SuPB, ACBB, ACThBB, DGBB,...)


• Understand customization operations and capabilities


• Experience with XA, Paperless MES, DOH, WASS systems is preferred

Education and Experience:

• Technical/Engineering degree preferred or 3 years' experience working in a product customization environment
