JOB SUMMARY
Design and Document Aero-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and products. Reviews and directs changes to engineering drawings. Analyzes performance and stress. Runs tests to validate engineering designs in a safe and effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding of military specifications and environment desired, able to understand engineering drawings. Experience with test equipment setup, operation and fabrication. Must have a good understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, theory and calculations. Knowledge of computer-aided design and analysis software would be beneficial.

Performs installation, operation, maintenance, test and repair of mechanically functioning test equipment and test set-ups. Under general supervision and with some latitude for un-reviewed action, performs assignments which involve responsibility for a test set-ups and equipment design. May give direction to Drafters/Designers.

EDUCATION:
Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Security Clearance and be a US Citizen.
Must have a BSME or equivalent. Actionable plan to achieve Master's degree. Zero to three years of experience in designing and developing complex electro-mechanical components/subsystems for the aerospace/defense industry and applying ASME Y14.5M. Works under supervision, performs assignments of moderate complexity and assists other Engineers.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Personal Computer. Spreadsheets & word processing. CAD knowledge a plus with emphasis in Solidworks and/or AutoCad and ProE.
