Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:


  • Responsible for the full Accounts Payables cycle

  • Follow AP internal control policies and procedures on all invoice payments

  • Process accounts payable transactions to ensure that all payments are properly authorized and paid in timely manner

  • Reconcile, audit, obtain receipts, and code all corporate credit card statements

  • Review subcontractor's contract, payment terms, hours of work

  • Verify project coding and obtain approvals. Prepare Purchase Invoice (PI) batches of invoices for payment

  • Review requisitions, create purchase orders for expense requests.

  • Reconcile benefits accounts, monitor aging accounts payable

  • Responsible for internal and external vendor/employees inquires

  • Monitor all aspects of the payable discrepancies, investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies

  • Assist in training registrations for employees

  • Assist during audits and special projects

  • Maintain positive support/communication with team, employees and vendors

  • Perform other accounting related tasks and special projects as necessary

Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):


  • 5-7 years of experience

  • Accounting degree is a plus

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset

Nice to Have: (skills that are not required, but nice to have)


  • Experience with government contracts & DCAA preferred

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
