The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs typical machine shop and press operations

  • Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment

  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • One to three years of experience desired in a manufacturing environment

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management


QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES



  • As a member of the Quality Management System, quality procedures, requirements, work instructions, and other required documentation must be followed. Team members are responsible to be aware of the company's quality policy and quality objectives to support the continuous improvement projects and contribute to the overall mission of the organization
