Purpose:

The Robotic Engineer will be responsible for the design and the build of production related manufacturing equipment, making improvements and assist in maintaining existing equipment. They will present opportunities to management for improving existing processes, help create/maintain robotic training and standards for the corporation

Essential Duties:

In this role the individual will also take on project management responsibilities, maintaining quality and production standards, and ensuring that all company procedures are followed.

• Design, build, program, and install production related machinery.


• Develop project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, safety standards, and motor controls.


• Provide cost estimates and timelines for projects.


• Follow designs from concept to production.


• Research / Implement - advanced manufacturing ideas and concepts.


• Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.


• Troubleshoot equipment/system failures and startups


• Create documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, and electrical schematics


• The successful candidate must be willing to learn new concepts and take on additional responsibilities as needed. The Robotic Engineer must be able to work quickly and accurately and have a positive and proactive attitude


• Specialized Knowledge/Skills:


• Technical proficiency with Fanuc and Allen Bradley applications.


• Extremely proficient with Fanuc Robotic programming


• Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.


• Proficient with Unigraphics or AutoCad and Fanuc Roboguide.


• Understanding of manufacturing principals.


• Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.


• Excellent organizational and team building skills


• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office, Project


• Must be able to work with hand tools and various instruments as needed

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


• 4+ years of experience in automation and integration


• Fanuc CNC controls and power motion controls preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Capable of working independently.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Some travel required (25%) based on project and facility needs.


• Must be able to travel globally
