Summary

Lead the exciting growth of NB Soccer in the highly lucrative California/Texas/Colorado markets. The Salesperson will be challenged to significantly increase NB presence on field with our exciting footwear line as well as our new custom uniforms and high performance & licensed apparel, balls and accessory products.

You will drive these sales by ingraining yourself in the sport at the club, high school, youth and college levels and securing support of the coaches and players to WANT NB products. This will be done through attending games/tournaments, assisting in practices, attending sign up days, networking at trade shows and joint sales calls with dealers. You will then be responsible for selling as many teams and as many different categories as possible!

Territory coverage consists of California, Texas & Colorado

Responsibilities

Responsible for driving impressive NB Soccer sales with strong profitability with the top teams and largest organizations in your territory. SIGNIFICANLTY increase the number of teams wearing NB Uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories through attending games, tournaments and grassroots events to promote New Balance brand awareness Responsible for product and sales forecasting to ensure goals are attained and inventory available to you and the entire team. Manage the specialty retailers in the territory to make NB Soccer their #1 partner in all categories we compete! "Own the coach" at every key team at every level You must be ingrained in the sport! Determine and monitor sales activities of competitors within the territory/region and then provide recommendations on how NB to win Deliver all sales tools, programs, customizers, team stores, and other resources to specialty retail partners to ensure their successful sell through of our products Manages expenses within assigned budget. Participate in Soccer clinics and events both inside and outside the territory. Ensure complete distribution of all of our licensed apparel partners at your retail locations Develop and maintain a Territory Plan to measure activity and progress of direct and dealer sales in Sales Force.com. Attend NB regional and national Sales meetings, as well as dealer and industry trade shows.

Qualifications


  • BS/BA Degree

  • 2 years of sales experience preferably in a team sports environment.

  • Ability to work in home office environment

  • Basic computer skills required include Microsoft Office and Sales Force.com

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentations skills required to be able to present to a wide variety of customers and management.

  • Spanish as a second language preferred, but not required.

  • Project management skills are also required.

  • Budget management skills

  • Reliable transportation to hold significant samples, selling and event tools

  • Frequent travel is required - approx. 30% of the time.
