Business Overview & Role Description:

The Americas Securities Services Liquidity Solutions Associate/Analyst will support in the management of the deposit and investment product family, providing and developing innovative solutions to defend and grow the Securities Services deposit program. Products under management include Earnings Credit Rate, Interest-Bearing Deposits and Overdrafts. These products vary in their degree of complexity, some of which are inherently complex due to considerations around regulations, tax and balance sheet dynamics, and sophisticated delivery model. The incumbent will needs to gain an understanding of prevalent regulations, as well as, grasp rapidly evolving ones, such as, those under Basel III regime. The role will support the America's lead for Solutions in articulating the product strategy and vision to a wide cross-section of constituents in the Bank, across functions and geographies; secure senior sponsorship and guide execution teams/programs towards realizing the vision into design, delivery and commercial readiness.

Responsibilities


  • Assist in creation and maintenance of the Securities Services on-balance sheet deposit program

    • Develop and maintain innovate client solutions leading to balance retention and growth
    • Define priorities for liquidity solutions in terms of product/customer segment offering and how does this fit into the overall Securities Services objectives
    • Engage internal stakeholders, e.g., Sales and Relationship Managers, along with Global Business constituents to align the proposition to other products and market needs
    • Ensure that investment in capabilities/infrastructure achieves consistency in offering across region.
    • Strategic road-mapping of liquidity solutions, including product extensions and variations

  • Assist in oversight and manage risk across the product set, including identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting as it relates to their responsibilities as an Executive of the Bank.

    • Focus on efficiency and controls within the liquidity solutions framework promoting:

      • Functional effectiveness and strong commercial behaviors
      • Profitability efficiency and cost management
      • Successful risk recognition and mitigation
      • Product innovation


  • Managing the book of business through rate cycle environment:

    • Repricing of accounts for each of the Rate Hikes / Rate Cuts
    • Quantifying revenue impacts from incremental deposits and repricing activities


  • Support ad-hoc research and resolution of daily issues, data requests, reporting requirements, as well as regulatory requests
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and buying behavior patterns

Your Background


  • Track record of identifying product gaps and representing client requirements to assist in prioritizing product development
  • You must have experience of analyzing complex information from variety of sources utilizing Excel, Access and other analytical applications
  • You must be able to demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills, along with maintaining a level of professionalism and ability to interact with all levels ranging from Analyst to Senior MDs as well as Clients
  • Ability to work well in a matrixed and complex organization, with clear, results driven focus
  • Proven ability to partner well, particularly as part of a global business
  • Strong aptitude for math and general financial principles

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree required; Finance, Treasury, Securities or Investment business qualifications preferred
