Position Overview

The Strategy & Planning Associate will play a pivotal role within the Business Process Management team with Wholesale Lending Services (WLS). The Business Process Management team delivers organizational & leadership support to WLS across People Excellence, Financial & Organizational Discipline, Organizational Understanding and Strategic & Governance initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a results-focused, technically savvy individual with a strong analytical skill set that will help develop a broader understanding of WLS. This person will think strategically and tactically to deliver against the future state vision while collaborating across a diverse set of stakeholders, managing relationships with and presenting regularly to JPM leadership.

Core Responsibilities


  • Drive process and organizational reviews to build a more robust overall organizational understanding
  • Develop new and leverage existing abilities to provide the organization with informative data and analysis of our people, portfolios & processes
  • Synthesize and present data to inform and recommend potential opportunities for action or improvement
  • Participate in the creation of numerous organization & business overviews (monthly, quarterly & ad-hoc)
  • Work on efforts that will provide a program management framework and transparency for key WLS initiatives, including monitoring priorities, milestones and key performance indicators

  • Develop cross-functional partnerships within WLS and with our business and technology partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of financial/accounting/investment analysis experience
  • Experience in Financial Service/ banking industry preferred
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Transformational mindset; ability to initiate and implement change
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
  • Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach
  • Adaptable to change and ambiguity in the work environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Experience with Tableau and Alteryx preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Passion to help drive success for the business
  • Self-motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
