S3 Inc. is seeking a Budget Analyst to support programs in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description: The ASE Budget Analyst acts as a key technical expert to provide support to the Project Management Office (PMO), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) with programmatic assistance services to advance PMO ASE's mission of researching, developing, fielding, and sustaining ASE technology. The Budget Analyst acts as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues, concerns and special projects and interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data and to resolve reporting and compliance issues. Prepares special reports and financial studies for management and alerts them to significant variances in the plan. Coordinates, negotiates and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation and maintains documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area.

The Budget Analyst will be responsible for various financial functions such as billing, budgeting, payroll, auditing, forecasting and analysis in a government contractor organization. May participate in the review of financial data received from various managers and assist in developing pricing rates and proposals for government or commercial contracts, or be responsible for procuring military and commercial components, contract negotiations and product sourcing. Maintains documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area. Ensures management understanding of rate and budget issues. Ensures compliance with internal procedures, DFAR/FAR government regulations and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR), and, conducts and may lead audits. May supervise the work of lower level employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required : 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience, including a thorough knowledge of DFAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations with a Bachelor's degree; or 7 years of relevant financial analysis experience including a thorough knowledge of DFAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations with an Associate's Degree; or 9 years of relevant financial analysis experience including a thorough knowledge of DFAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Education Required : Prefer a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience including a thorough knowledge of DAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations. An Associate Degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or, a high school diploma, or equivalent, and 9 years of relevant experience will be considered.

Security Clearance Required: Secret Clearance.
