Job Description:

NVIDIA is looking for strong C++ engineers to work on technologies like the Electron , NodeJS , and Chromium open source projects. If you have a passion for open web standards and their use in desktop application development, we would like to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Build, maintain and enhance the Electron application framework for use by NVIDIA desktop applications

  • Optimize the 2D/3D rendering path for the embedded chromium libraries

  • Write native node add-ons and gRPC modules to leverage NVIDIA driver and other systems functionality

  • Provision profiling, performance tuning and debugging tools for NVIDIA application developers

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies like WebAssembly, WebGPU, WebXR, etc. and work to innovate novel experiences for PC gamers

  • Work to upstream NVIDIA inventions and innovations where appropriate

What we need to see:

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science with 8 years of industry experience, or M.S. with 6 years

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming, profiling and debugging with emphasis on native Windows application development

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML/CSS and related technologies

  • Experience with 2D rendering APIs like Skia, Cairo, Direct2D, etc.

  • Have made contributions to the Electron application development framework or similar (ex. Tizen, WebOS, Chromium Embedded Framework, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Linux application development

  • Good interpersonal skills and experience presenting with and handling the expectations of both technical and non-technical partners

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • PC Gamer and a passion for designing solutions for the gaming community

  • Webkit/Chromium experience; experience hacking on Webkit/Blink, JavaScript virtual machines a plus

  • Game development or other 3D graphics development experience
