Job Description:

As a credit underwriter, you'll use your commercial or business credit training to assess the credit worthiness of customers while facilitating portfolio growth and mitigating loss.

Responsibilities:

• Structure transactions while balancing risk/reward
• Utilize advanced credit skills to author concise, thoughtful analysis of relationships using appropriate structure and identifying key risks
• Work proactively with internal and external contacts to ensure transactions move forward efficiently
• Lead complex transactions including syndications and multi-level capital structures
• Evaluate smaller relationships to evaluate risk profile and recommend simple structures that adequately protect the bank

Qualifications:

• BS or advanced degree with business focus
• Completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program and three years of commercial banking experience preferred
• Otherwise, a minimum of five years experience in commercial banking/lending which might include credit, structuring, and marketing experience
• Significant accounting and finance knowledge
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
