Senior Operations Business Analyst

The Senior Operations Business Analyst plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the Equinix Metal Operations organization. Working closely with the VP, organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision making. Acts as a point of contact or gatekeeper between top management and other partners. Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance.

Additionally, may act as an advisor to the VP. May be responsible for the management of executive support staff. The Senior Operations Business Analyst manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.

You will use strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the daily operation of the organization. Typical responsibilities include:


  • Collaborating with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies

  • Support the VP’s schedule including prioritizing meetings, organizing working sessions and cross functional interlock activities

  • Providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork

  • Planning, coordinating and keeping contents of a meeting focused

  • Determining key performance indicators and how to measure team performance, including tracking Rocks (aka OKRs)

  • Gather data for monthly and quarterly reporting out to Executive Team

  • Create real time reporting dashboards to enable transparent communication of operational activity (e.g. capacity planning, service delivery, revenue)

Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus but not required

  • 5-7+ years of operations, corporate strategy, or management consulting experience

  • Strongly developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Organization and planning skills

  • Ability to diffuse work conflict using interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Highly resourceful

  • Strong emotional intelligence

  • Self-motivation

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Experienced operational leader that can take a strategic view

  • Strong experience in reporting tools including Tableau, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

Qualifications


  • 3+ years related experience preferred


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline preferred

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $80,000 - $108,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
