POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Technical Training specialist leverages their vast water technology knowledge and experience to develop, prepare, implement, and sustain technical educational and training content that will be used to train employees and customers to technical competencies. Target employees include but are not limited to training specialists, field service technicians, field service engineers, field service operations management, and sales professionals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:


  • Recommend and develop formal education and training materials in a variety of styles and formats, including courseware and content; reference materials, job aids, and exercises for training of employees.
  • Produce and deliver technical training and education using full-cycle Instructional System Development (ISD - analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate)
  • Create quick reference materials, tutorials, user guides, and other informational and checklist materials as requested.
  • Create storyboards, templates and curriculum materials for use in a variety of formats (instructor-led presentations, web-based training, and hard copy documents).
  • Development collaboration with multiple teams including technical support engineering, product management, learning & development, and the internal customers within the divisions.
  • Deploy training via multiple platforms including classroom instructor led, virtual instructor led, hands-on, and self-study on-line education training via a learning management system (LMS).
  • In collaboration with the Business Excellence and Learning & Development teams, verify existing educational and training products meet the company's needs and standards. Update existing educational and training products as needed.
  • Develop core understanding of existing & new products to develop & implement educational and training content
  • Provide Technical subject matter expertise and knowledge related to water purification products, technologies, applications and solutions
  • Conduct field surveillances of work to validate knowledge retention and incorporate lessons learned into continuing training cycle
  • Maintain accurate and detailed training records for program participants
  • Maintain accurate, detailed and accessible technical training content roadmap/matrix listing available content with detail such as target audience for content, type of training deployment, revision status of content, SME, etc.
  • Influence the development and sustainment of the training strategy for the division leveraging their subject matter expertise and experience related to water purification products, technologies, applications and solutions
  • Conducts needs analysis to identify training requirements and recommends training strategy, tools and timelines accordingly

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Adult learning, training development and facilitation certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of water purification equipment & systems including the system application, installation & startup, and troubleshooting procedures required (Water Purification defined as: Process Water or Wastewater or a combination of Process Water and Wastewater)
  • 15+ years of experience as a water purification field service technician or field service engineer preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and levels
  • Experience creating and delivering educational and training content
  • Knowledge of adult learning and training practices
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of Evoqua (or equivalent) field service
  • Strong organic and inorganic wastewater knowledge
  • Experience creating and delivering educational and training for adult learners utilizing a blended learning path
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Solid user of standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on ability to operate and troubleshoot water purification equipment
  • HMI/PLC troubleshooting, program loading, and program modification
  • Programming and calibration of microprocessor-based analyzers
  • Travel may be up to 50%
