*ABOUT THE JOB:*
As a senior member of the software development team you will contribute to software design and development for our mobile devices and associated applications. You will be counted on for complex problem solving as well as encouraged to recommend solutions. You will be leveraging your experience in delivering high quality embedded systems to help the team grow and mature. You will be working on products which will give you the unique opportunity to make a difference in peopleas lives, developing and optimizing applications in support of health, wellness, and emergency response systems. *RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Design, develop, integrate, debug, and verify embedded software applications in C++ on Linux, FreeRTOS, or similar environments
* Create requirements, design plan, and design specification, and documentation within existing software architecture taking into account performance, quality, reliability, cost, and reuse
* Research technologies and commercial components available to achieve requirements
* Coach and mentor mid-level Software Engineers
* Implement and uphold standards and best practices around development processes, coding, and peer reviews
* Provide assistance to IT, CM, QA and support personnel as needed to troubleshoot production issues.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Education:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study preferred. Equivalent software development experience can be used in lieu of degree
*Experience:*

* Successfully delivered at least 2 embedded consumer or commercial products
* Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development required
* Experience with at least two of:
* RTOS
* Embedded Linux
* Android
* Bare metal

* Experience with scripting language required (Python preferred)
* Experience coaching/mentoring other engineers required
*Experience in at least 3 of the following:*

* Experience with mobile device development
* Experience in IoT/ Web Services (MQTT preferred)
* Experience with Safety Critical products
* Experience working on teams using Agile methodologies preferred
* Prior experience developing for a power-constrained environment preferred
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:*

* Familiarity with continuous delivery, processes, DevOps tools, Git preferred
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Strong proficiency with C/C++
* Strong proficiency with Object Oriented Design and Development, preferably in embedded environments
