The Washington Post is hiring a Partnerships Lead for our Washington Post Live group. In this role, you will create new partnership opportunities for our fast growing Live business. This critical role will be a part of a team that leverages the exposure and reach of partnering with a live events business to create new revenue streams.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Managing Director of Washington Post Live on all elements of the Washington Post Live businessincluding processfor client execution, a focus on the development of series that are both newsworthy and of interest to brands, and developing new business through Client Partner engagement.
Assist with the successful expansion of sponsorable opportunities to further drive revenue.
Collaborate with a dedicated Client Partner team as a subject matter expert in order to dramatically build upon Washington Post Live's brand exposure in RFPs and general sponsorship base.
Proactively sell to PR agencies with the focus of executive visibility as an asset of WP Live.
Work closely with brands, client partners and activation teams to ensure sponsor expectations are managed and met in pre and post-sale
Work with product marketing to develop go to market narrative for Washington Post Live, unique sponsorship packaging and compelling presentations in order to bring them to sponsors.
Act asa thought leader on client calls and RFP brainstorming sessionsto develop and shape programming that meets client objectives.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to build integrated packages and opportunities and to ensure events opportunities are being marketed in all outgoing proposals
Speak to senior-level marketing executives within client organizations, understanding their needs and articulating how live programming fits within the marketing mix.
Manage regular reporting of pipeline, booked revenue, weekly updates on business progress to the Managing Director of Live.
Requirements:
5+ year sales/marketing experience
60/40 sales vs marketing
Great if they also have partnership experience
Would be great to have someone who has sold events in the past, not just straight media
Great at collaborating since they will be working closely with the Client Partner team
Extremely organized
Excels in a fast-paced environment
