Position Overview 

The Data Leader will build and develop the enterprise data strategy, vision and roadmap for data and analytics.  This position will be based out of the Atlanta, GA Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • People leadership of data technology team and collaboration with the other IT teams

  • Defines and develops enterprise-wide data governance strategies, management practices, standards, processes and metrics

  • Lead the improvement of data stewardship and data quality

  • Architect, design and build scalable infrastructure and platforms to ingest, store and process very large amounts of data

  • Support and deliver data platforms, strategy and architecture to ensure data is used to create competitive advantage

  • Continue to evolve the technology strategy on analytics, leveraging AI and ML technologies as applicable

  • Partner with business units and corporate functions to understand needs and translate to data technology solutions

  • Act as an innovation and thought leader in the data analytics and insights solutions space for the technology enterprise

  • Understand and predict emerging technology, service and functionality trends

  • Assess sensitive data landscape and implement protection plans to enable CRH to operate with confidence.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education/Experience


  • Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar technical discipline

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 15 years of computer systems experience with 7 or more years of management responsibility

  • Minimum 7 years of managing IT professionals

  • Minimum 10 years of large enterprise experience developing, deploying and maintaining data portfolios for technology.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing, modeling, developing and implementing enterprise level data stores in both applications and data mart/ data warehouse configurations.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience defining and managing data visualizations using tools and industry standard practices.

  • Experience with leading data concepts (Big data, analytics, Iot/Edge analytics, cloud data stores etc.)

  • Experience in large, distributed business environments preferred

Work Requirements


  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% in both U.S. and non-U.S. locations

Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Implementation of enterprise level business intelligence practices, solutions and platforms.

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Effectively works in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

  • Demonstrable experience mentoring and growing managers and staff.

  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with people with a wide range of skills, experience, cultures and capabilities including business leaders, peers, vendors, and staff members.

  • Ability to present ideas in concise, business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Ability to present to management and executive team members.

  • Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills with the ability to actively listen and effectively understand concerns

  • Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to solve problems

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize issues and monitor.

  • Construction or heavy manufacturing industry experience a plus.
