Position Description:
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers. Is responsive to customer needs
• Prepares specimens for exposure by mounting and exposing per client requirements
• Sets up new orders, log specimen into computer utilizing AWSG database
• Responsible for maintaining activities according to list, including acquiring folder, retrieving samples, marking location and signing off on necessary paperwork
• Retrieves specimen for evaluation according to daily work list of tests due
• Evaluates specimens at designated intervals in the laboratory or field, per industry standards and client specifications
• Photograph samples to a high level of detail and troubleshoot.
• Performs washes and measures gloss, distinctness of image (DOI), color, haze, and optical property readings at scheduled intervals, using appropriate equipment as per the applicable standards
• Monitors the instruments through verification and standardization on a daily basis, or as needed by specification and company policy
• Responsible for generating client reports
• Returns samples to field or instrument for resumption of testing
• Communicates industry standards to clients, as well as test results and any changes in evaluations if needed
• Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints. Initiates corrective action.
• Must have high level of visual acuity, and be able to differentiate color, light and texture changes
• Must be detail orientated
• Adheres to established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintains compliance with AMETEK’s standards of operation. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance, with all local, stated and federal regulations and codes.
• Performs all other related duties.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Science or Engineering related field.
• 1 to 3 years experience in laboratory setting
• Previous work related experiences that represent knowledge related to evaluation standards and quality standards such as ASTM, ISO, AATCC, SAE, Six Sigma etc. are important to the position’s success.
• Proficient within MS Office and other software applications necessary for the day-to-day and ongoing site operations.
