Day in the Life of a Commercial Insurance Advisor

As a commercial insurance advisor, no two days are the same, but you will be attacking each day with a purpose and process that will best set you up for success. Your day will consist of –


  • Communicating with commercial clients to serve their need for proper insurance by:


    • Building rapport and adapting your communication approach with each client

    • Identifying needs of the client to help them secure the proper type and amount of insurance

    • Demonstrating how you can help the client achieve their desired outcome. Evaluate the insurance options and the additional insurance products available that will meet the client’s stated needs.

    • Validate yourself, the product and the company to the client

    • Ensure you have satisfied all of the client’s needs and concerns and help them secure proper insurance. Each time you close a sale, you have come to a win-win outcome for both you and the client



Other tasks include:


  • Maintaining communication with referral sources

  • Communicating with insurance companies regarding client transactions

  • Providing continuous feedback that will better the client experience and internal processes

  • Assisting with other activities as needed as part of the team
