About the Role:

The Sales Representative, Employee Benefits (Business Development Specialist) is responsible for the prospecting, negotiating and successful acquisition, via optimal on-boarding of LifeLock benefit brokers. LifeLock's liaison to the broker community educating them on the value of identity protection as a product that is a necessity for their clients. You are also responsible for navigating the constant changing landscape between healthcare focused brokers and voluntary benefit brokers to identify the highest potential prospect.

Responsibilities:


  • Willingness to build a deep understanding on how to be an ambassador to the employee benefits industry.

  • The ability to identify, pursue and qualify targeted employee benefit broker and agency opportunities from the beginning of the sales cycle to contract signing.

  • The ability to educate brokers and their clients regarding NortonLifeLock value propositions, services, and solutions offerings that are meaningful to their business.

  • Understand efficient enrollment paths, revenue requirements and contract management.

  • Take a consultative approach with brokers to include assessing their needs and tailoring program design and solution requirements for the broker and their clients.

  • Deep knowledge of standard methodology methods including but not limited to quarterly events and informational webinars with targeted brokers and current producers to keep NortonLifeLock 'top of mind'.

  • Experience utilizing systems (such as Salesforce) and processes that support the retention of existing brokers and the attainment of new brokers from referrals.

  • Partner with the Sr Manager of Inside Sales regarding call activity, lead management, pipeline activity, forecasting, as well as, highlight potential new broker relationships and employer opportunities.

  • Display flexibility and awareness to team and departmental programs and policies.

  • Interface in a reciprocal manner with the Employee Benefits team, Regional and National Sales, Sales Enablement, Partner Account Managers, Legal and Finance to improve member growth and retention.

  • Engage in focused attention on the threat landscape, research on industry trends, and focused understanding of the LifeLock and Norton solutions and growth opportunities.

Key Qualifications:


  • Experience in Employee Benefit sales or service focused on Employee Benefit Brokers and Consultants is preferred.

  • Experience prospecting and growing new relationships, as well as, nurturing existing relationships.

  • Team player who will engage with internal resources and manage activity, pipeline, and be mindful of forecasting outcomes.

  • Have a fair technical knowledge of benefit enrollment methodologies and have a working understanding of various insurance products.

  • Proficient in analyzing benefit industry trends, specifically keeping a pulse on Identity Theft Protection.

  • Ability to work efficiently and influence target audiences.

  • High service acumen and a tireless approach to creative problem solving.

  • Strong communication skills with a quick ability to build a narrative to address the identity protection landscape.

Required Skills and Experience


  • At least 1-2 years' business development experience, preferably in employee benefit distribution or employee benefit account management disciplines.

  • Exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and confidence to present to brokers and employers.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with different internal stakeholders to deliver on client needs.

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time in a post COVID environment.
