The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Jr. Full Stack Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Developing products used internationally to ensure accurate processing of health care claims and improve the quality of health care

  • Working as part of a cross-functional agile team developing a mix of AWS cloud-based and on-premises applications and services

  • Building secure and innovative solutions with your knowledge of RESTful services, Java, Angular and other technologies

  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and software quality

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of four(4) years of experience in software development in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement

  • Experience with object-oriented web services and/or web application programming (course work, internships and co-op’s considered as experience)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution 

  • Experience in Java RESTful web services development with Spring Boot or similar technologies

  • Experience in JavaScript web application development with Angular or similar technologies such as React or Vue.js

  • Experience with deployment on Linux using Amazon Web Services and/or Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database design

  • Skills including excellent verbal and written communication; good problem-solving ability; capable of working independently without close supervision

  • Ability to influence others and be a positive, collaborative contributor in our Agile team working environment

Travel: Occasional domestic travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Meriden, CT

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
