You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

POSITION TITLE:                                                                                     

Plant  Laborer

FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT:

PLW (Packing Loading Warehouse)

MANAGER TITLE: PLW Production Supervisor

Broad function and scope of the position:

The function of the Plant Laborer position is to maintain the cleanliness of all floors in the Warehouse, New Mill, Old Mill, Building 55, Feed Tower and the grounds to meet OSHA, GMP and Quality Standards.

Primary responsibilities of the position:

Rotates to all cleaning/maintenance positions if an absence occurs as needed. Properly and efficiently responds to accidental spills by following company guidelines for cleaning the areas and disposing of wheat debris by sweeping into bins or by shoveling into bags. Using an air pressured vacuum system, blows down all walls, ceilings doors and grates in the warehouse. Properly disposes of blow out by shoveling into bags and sweeping into conduits or bins. Sweeps, mops and scrubs floors. Cleans and maintains Hoffman vacuum suction system each shift. Clean site glasses and oil pans according to company set time frames. Washes and waxes rolls with proper cleaning solutions and rags according to company set time frames. Collects trash and deposits it in designated areas. Removes, repairs and replaces sieves, filter tubes and elevator strap leg buckets. Operates Bobcat and Forklift to remove and haul supplies. Maintains grounds by mowing lawn and shoveling snow. Moves office furniture as needed.

EDUCATION LEVEL: 

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE / GED

EXPERIENCE:

1.     General Work Experience in a Manufacturing Setting.

2.     Ability to work independently.

3.     Strong communication skills.

4.     Experience in a Union Environment.

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES:
