If you are an Extruder Operator looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you, based in our East Granby, CT. location. This position reports to the production supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the assigned production schedule and ensuring a high level of product quality. As a key operator you will also be responsible for maintaining a safe work area and supporting our Safety and Health Program by participating in safety audits.

 

AS AN EXTRUDER OPERATOR YOU WILL: 


  • Set up equipment according to specified requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Monitor product quality at work center, including checking equipment settings and adjusting to maintain product quality through the process.
  • Maintain equipment integrity at work center.
  • Report any non-conforming product to a management representative.
  • Report any equipment failure to a management representative.
  • Assist in employee training at the work center.

 

 

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1-5 year’s experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50lbs
    • Able to pass company physical with above physical requirements (including drug/alcohol tests).
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States

     

    PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


    • Lean manufacturing training or experience
    • General understanding of 5S principles
