Oracle DBA at Cognizant in Houston, Texas

Job Description:

We are looking for Oracle DBA  for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.

• Database administrators for Oracle DBA L2 Support


• Need to have Golden Gate replication experience


• Environment Database monitoring across in DEV QA and PROD/DR/CERT


• Responsible for resolving simple to moderate technical problems depending on the Issues and scenarios


• Configure an Oracle DatabaseManage Schema Objects Tables Indexes Clusters Hash Clusters Views and Sequences etc


• Manage Automated DB Maintenance task


• Manage Control Files Redo log Tablespaces DATA files


• Responsible for Contingency Planning and Incident management in OLTP based environments involving Strict SLA


• Setup monitoring and alerting mechanism on the Database servers


• Provide regression and functional testing support


• Provide implementation support


• Provide environment based deployment support along with Incident Support Problem Management support


• Update the support runbooks as required
