Summary/Objective

Enhance performance of our Accounts Receivable department via analysis of current practices, benchmarking of processes, continuing education, training and implementation of standard procedures.

Essential Functions


  1. Analyze departmental processes and procedures, providing feedback to leadership with areas of opportunity.

  2. Investigate shortfalls, issues and areas of improvement within the current processes.

  3. Establishing norms and standards of departmental performance.

  4. Facilitates discussion amongst teams, "brainstorming" sessions, to understand what is working well and what can be improved.

  5. Training, mentoring and guiding team members in new processes, as well as ensuring existing processes are clearly understood and followed.

  6. Work with other departments to drive change in their procedures to help the department realize efficiencies.

  7. Be a resource to assist team members with day-to-day processing issues.

  8. Assist with invoicing as needed.

  9. Stay up to date with developments in systems and process optimization.

  10. Attend relevant training sessions to gain insight to what other companies are doing to maximize efficiencies.

  11. Understand internal control policies and ensure procedures are designed in accordance with.

  12. Keep leadership informed of current projects and timelines for completion.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. 1. Clerical- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Communicates with management, team members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and take instructions. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system. Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails. Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules. Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.

Travel

Local travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience


  1. Extensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable procedures.

  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  3. Ability to analyze information and processes.

  4. Strong problem-solving skills.

  5. Commitment to adhere to all company policies/internal controls currently in place.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred
